What will this role involve?

We are looking for a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer who will be working within a team, responsible for the development of our online services providing next generation hospital software technology. This is a critical role – the results of your work will be directly used by clinicians during brain surgeries. You will have a large amount of ownership and be deeply involved in producing, validating and deploying our technology in operating theatres around the world.

Therefore, knowledge and experience in creating web-based data-centric applications and maintenance of the service side infrastructure is fundamental for this role.

**You need to be able to demonstrate experience with similar projects in the past. **


  • Design, build and maintain APIs, online data services and pipelines
  • Write well-formulated, testable and readable code using appropriate software design patterns
  • Ensure technical documentation meets ISO 13485 and Data Protection Act 2018
  • Oversee the implementation of data security.

Essential requirements

  • Experience in building secure cloud based data-centric services (eg using Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc)
  • Five years + of experience development experience
  • Three years + of experience with server-side frameworks ASP.NET, Django, Laravel, Node.js, or similar
  • Two years + of experience with client-side frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, etc
  •  Experience in web development languages (e.g. JavaScript, PHP, CSS/HTML/JSON)
  • Experience in database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB)
  • Experience with Unix/Linux servers e.g. CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu
  • Experience building RESTful APIs for client-side applications
  • Experience with client/server data security
  • Ability to think tactically and strategically
  • Conscientious in documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.


  • Hands-on experience with Web test frameworks
  • Scripting language experience (Python)
  • Knowledge of load balancing and logging
  • Software development experience in the medical industry or other regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of modern, iterative software design processes and development practices including agile and test-driven development
  • You’ve built something cool on your own because you enjoy doing what you do.

This is a London-based role, our office is in Kings Cross and we will be based in the office as soon as it reopens so you should be able to commute to Kings Cross.
