As a Farm Operator at LettUs Grow, you will report directly to our Farm Manager. In your role, you will be responsible for the day to day running of our research facility.

To run all internal LettUs Grow commercial trials to a high level of scientific accuracy.
To inspect and monitor operations to ensure they run to standard operating procedures.
To ensure operating standards are maintained 24/7 to ensure good condition.
To ensure compliance with safety standards for a food growing facility.
Prepare and execute standard operating procedures and hazard and critical control points documents.
Manage supplier relationships and materials for growing trials.
To liaise with other team members on product development, providing user insights, and helping to interface between the growing team, engineering team, and end customer.
What you need:
Practical knowledge and experience of operating or working in indoor commercial agriculture systems.
Experience growing baby greens, microgreens, living lettuces and herbs.
Experience of food safety and HACCP protocols.
Must be willing to take on a variety of roles within the production facility including working manual tasks when needed
Experience growing flowering plants and rooting salad vegetables.
Experience working with engineers on prototyping hardware or software products.
Experience researching plants grown in indoor agricultural facilities.
Knowledge of plant growing, disease prevention and pest remediation, especially Integrated Pest Management principles
The position is a six month fixed contract, based in central Bristol and will benefit from training and external mentoring. Salary will be competitive to match experience, with the benefit of participating in an established employee share options scheme.
