The Education team is working in conjunction with The Academy’s Enterprise Hub. The Regional Talent Engines (RTE) programme is a new offering that will provide tailored training and support for aspiring engineering and technology entrepreneurs in four different regions of the UK (Northern Ireland, North West England, North East England, Yorkshire and Humber).
To compliment the programme, our Education team is developing a new suite of free to use resources designed to augment existing business, finance, and engineering design modules within Further Education College courses.
Our aim is to equip the next generation of new, advanced, and higher qualified technicians with the skills required to work in areas critical to economic growth, including entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, sustainability, and the net zero carbon economy. We will provide free training to lecturers in further education colleges in the region to deliver and use the resources.
The resources will include short videos, interactive simulations, teaching materials, and embedded careers information.
The content will be independent of specific qualifications – so can be used for existing technical qualifications and new T levels.
Our work will provide a pipeline of future talent capable of applying for the Enterprise Hub’s Regional Talent Engines programme when they leave college.
