HMRC / NIrCTO (Northern Ireland Corporate Tax Office):

NIrCTO is your local point of contact in Northern Ireland for advice on the full range of HMRC business taxes and duties affecting your proposed investment, including the specialist Research & Development (R&D) units, help with claiming R&D Tax Relief, Patent Box, Creative Industry Tax Reliefs and other HMRC tax incentives.

Ignite NI: and the Propel pre-accelerator form part of Invest NI’s support for high potential start-ups developing an innovative new technology or product.

InterTradeIreland: Helping small businesses in Ireland and Northern Ireland explore new cross-border markets, develop new products, processes and services and become investor ready. As one of the cross-border bodies, InterTradeIreland, the Cross-Border Trade and Business Development Body, is funded by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation in Ireland (DBEI) and the Department for the Economy (DFE) in Northern Ireland.

Invest NIPart of the Department for the Economy, the regional business development agency's role is to grow the local economy.

Support for Funding is provided for start-ups with export potential across six funds, part of the Agency’s Access to Finance initiative, totalling more than £184 million to help SMEs with high growth potential. These provide debt and equity investment and include:

NI Small Business Loan Fund£5m fund that provides unsecured loans to individuals, private companies and social enterprises in the small, medium and micro enterprise size range.

Growth Loan Fund£50m fund that provides unsecured loan finance to SMEs that can demonstrate strong growth and export potential.

Techstart NI (ERDF): £29m integrated suite of funds and support for entrepreneurs, seed and early stage SMEs and university spin-outs.

Co-Fund NI II (ERDF): £50m venture capital fund that co-invests alongside business angels and other private investors.
