Enterprise Hub backs the next generation of regional engineering and technology entrepreneurs

The Enterprise Hub has welcomed a new cohort of founders to its Regional Talent Engines programme, supporting early-stage engineering and technology entrepreneurs across Northern England, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

Regional Talent Engines is a six-month start up accelerator designed to help early-stage engineering and technology entrepreneurs build the foundations for a successful start-up. Awardees receive a £20,000 equity-free grant towards living costs to enable them to focus on getting their idea off the ground. Alongside this non-dilutive funding, they are matched with a mentor, receive one-to-one coaching, practical skills training in region and access to a supportive community of fellow entrepreneurs.

Training takes place in central locations across Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, and Swansea, helping founders develop the skills, networks, and confidence needed to turn innovative ideas into viable businesses.

This latest cohort is tackling a wide range of challenges, including improving patient outcomes, accelerating the transition to net zero, strengthening supply chains, reducing industrial emissions, advancing sustainable manufacturing and using AI to solve real-world problems.
