Current propulsion systems are costly, inefficient and difficult to scale to meet the demands of modern mobility and emerging technologies. Greenjets’ are creating a new class of electric and turbine technologies enabling quieter, faster and more efficient propulsion across multiple markets, including drones, short-haul aircraft and urban air mobility.
Dr Kathryn Evans is Greenjets’ Business Development Director, leading external commercial relationships across their markets, spanning R&D collaborations and product sales. She has a focus on establishing the foundations for scaleup – recruiting and developing a high-performing commercial team while optimising sales operations, reporting and Customer Relationship Management systems to enable data-driven decision-making.
Kathryn recognises the challenges of her future responsibilities in leading Greenjets’ commercial vision and ensuring their growth. She wants to use the Shott Scale Up Accelerator’s support to strengthen her skills in strategic leadership, financial acumen and executive communication skills.
She reflects that “the accelerator will provide access to expert mentoring, leadership coaching and structured learning to complement my on-the-job experience, helping me refine how I operate at executive level.” She hopes to find a mentor who has transitioned from a technical background into commercial leadership and network with peers who are scaling technology ventures to help her tackle the challenges of her changing role.
Greenjets is entering a critical scaling phase over the next 12 months, with an upcoming Series A funding round, expanding into new markets and moving from prototypes to production at scale. Kathryn highlights that the Shott Scale Up Accelerator will support her transition from business development execution to strategic commercial leadership so Greenjets can take their propulsion technology to global markets.
