Delta Fire’s Attack Pro Nozzle, winner of the King’s Award for Innovation, has been adopted by 92% of UK Fire & Rescue Services. It tackles the challenge of firefighting in confined and complex environments such as naval vessels and industrial sites. Building on this success, Delta Fire are now addressing emerging risks, including Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) fires and wildfires. Their Hydro-Wall Hose provides rapid containment in these scenarios and is subject to a recently filed UK patent. These proven and future-facing innovations highlight Delta Fire’s potential for international scale, resilience and long-term impact.
Jordan King is one of the owners of Delta Fire Ltd, a family-owned UK manufacturer, and plays a central role in shaping strategy and operations. His responsibilities include overseeing sustainability initiatives; achieving net zero across scopes 1, 2, and 3; and driving international expansion by developing new market opportunities. One challenge he has is succession planning and leadership development to embed resilience for the future.
For Delta Fire to grow internationally while maintaining its culture, competitiveness and long-term impact Jordan sees his focus as, “on developing expertise in international expansion, investment readiness and scaling governance, alongside enhancing my ability to lead high-performing teams through change.” He recognises that, “The Shott Scale Up Accelerator will equip me with the skills, guidance and peer support to lead Delta Fire’s succession planning while driving sustainable growth into international markets.”
The accelerator is especially valuable now as Delta Fire moves from consolidating its strong UK base to scaling internationally, as they enter new markets over the next 6–12 months. Over the next 12 months, Jordan’s vision is to progress Delta Fire’s innovation pipeline and strengthen international reach. Key milestones include securing their UK patent for the Hydro-Wall Hose, preparing an EU filing, and advancing their knowledge transfer project to accelerate R&D capability.
