Users with current Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) devices frequently experience headaches and nausea. This VR motion sickness makes long-time wear almost impossible. AllFocal Optics eliminate the physical discomfort by solving the vergence–accommodation conflict, where the eye is focused on the VR screen (accommodation), yet the brain perceives the object on the screen is further away (vergence). This mismatch is the cause of the headache and nausea.

He also recognising how valuable the network built through the Shott Scale Up Accelerator are. He says: “We completed seed round fund raising last year, and this year our mission is to scale up for Series A, which is exactly Shott Scale Up Accelerator can help”. Being able to talk to others going through, or having succeeded in this, will help Xin take AllFocal Optics through this Series A round.
With the global total obtainable market for AR and VR being $114.5 billion in 2027 AllFocal Optics are well placed to address this with an innovative approach that solves a key problem. Their next key milestone is to negotiate a licence deal with one of their major clients.
