Ramana Nanda
Programme Lead
Namana is Professor of Entrepreneurial Finance and Academic Lead for the Institute for Deep Tech Entrepreneurship at Imperial College London, a research fellow in Financial Economics at the CEPR and a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School.

Cláudia Custódio
Cláudia is Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School. Cláudia has spent time in the US working within the Department of Finance at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University and in Lisbon at the NOVA School of Business and Economics.

Savitar Sunderesan
Savitar is Assistant Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School. Savitar’s work focuses on institutional investing as well as venture capital.

Celia Moore
Celia is Professor of Organisational Behaviour in the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at Imperial College Business School, and Director of the Centre for Responsible Leadership. Celia’s work focuses on the intersection of leadership and ethics.

Junaid Bajwa
Senior Partner, Head of UK, and Science Partner, Pioneering Intelligence
Junaid is a Senior Partner at Flagship Pioneering, leading the UK division and serving as a Science Partner for Pioneering Intelligence globally. He is also a practicing physician with the UK’s National Health Service. Previously, as Chief Medical Scientist at Microsoft Research, Junaid focused on integrating trusted, reliable, and human-centered AI into medicine, leading strategic partnerships and spearheading Responsible AI initiatives. With extensive experience in primary and secondary care, public health, and roles as a payer and policy maker, Junaid’s work spans healthcare systems across the US, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Singapore. Academically, he holds positions as a Clinical Associate Professor at University College London (UCL) and as a Visiting Scientist at both the Harvard School of Public Health and NTU in Singapore.

Dame Kate Bingham DBE HonFREng FMedSci
Managing Partner, SV Health Investors
Dame Kate Bingham has spent 30 years building and investing in biotech companies as Managing Partner at SV Health Investors, one of the longest tenured biotechnology investors globally. These investments have resulted in the launch of 21 new innovative drugs including 6 new drug classes each addressing a major unmet medical need. Kate played an active role in setting up the Dementia Discovery Fund in 2017, focused on developing novel drugs targeting new biological mechanisms to treat dementia.
In May 2020 Kate was appointed Chair of the UK Vaccine Taskforce, reporting to the Prime Minster to lead UK efforts to find and manufacture a COVID-19 vaccine. It was a six-month engagement, and she stepped down as Chair in December 2020. On 8 December 2020 the UK started COVID-19 vaccinations – the first western country to do so. She serves on the board of the Francis Crick Institute and ARIA.

Anne Glover HonFREng
Chief Executive and Co-founder, Amadeus Capital Partners
Anne co-founded Amadeus in 1997 . Building on her scientific training and operating experience, Anne has been a venture capitalist for over 30 years.
A former Chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and Invest Europe, Anne was appointed Non-Executive Director of the Court of the Bank of England in 2018 and in 2019 became a member of the Investment Committee of Yale Corporation, In 2021, Anne was appointed an external member of the Venture Capital Investment Committee of British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution.
Anne was awarded a CBE in 2006 for services to business; and in 2008 made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. In 2021 she became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and in 2023 became an Honorary Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge.

Daniel Mahony
Senior partner, Novo Holdings
Daniel joined Novo Holdings in 2024 as a Senior Partner in Growth Investments.
Daniel has 25+ years of global healthcare investment experience covering biotechnology, medical technology and healthcare services. In 2007, he co-founded the healthcare business unit at Polar Capital in London, growing it to over $4 billion in assets under management. Daniel was formerly a Senior Research Analyst at Morgan Stanley in London, an Analyst at ING Barings Furman Selz in New York, and completed his postdoctoral work at DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto. He currently chairs the UK BioIndustry Association, is a Non-Executive Director of the Wellcome Sanger Institute in Cambridge and was in 2022 appointed as the UK Government’s Life Sciences Envoy.

Professor Dame Fiona Murray CBE DCMG
Associate Dean of Innovation at the MIT School of Management and William Porter (1967) Professor of Entrepreneurship.
Her research, teaching and professional activities focus on the intersection of critical technologies, entrepreneurship, and geopolitics. She has examined the role of innovation ecosystem stakeholders in supporting the formation and scaling of deep tech ventures that solve global challenges - most notably in defence, security, and resilience. She is also an expert on how high-performing organizations - in the public and private sectors - engage with these innovation ecosystems to support their strategic innovation priorities.

Patrick Pichette
Patrick Pichette is a financial and operational expert with over 30 years of experience. He has led world-class companies such as Google, Twitter, McKinsey, Sprint Canada and Bell Canada to break through the complexities of hyper-growth and digital transformations
As CFO of Google from 2008 to 2015, Patrick played a key role in driving the company’s growth strategy and supported the creation of the Alphabet structure. He was part of Google’s executive committee, overseeing the company’s extensive corporate M&A agenda, which included nearly 150 acquisitions. Patrick sat on the board of Twitter between 2017 and 2022, served as Chair of the Board in 2020-2021 and co-led the company’s sale to Elon Musk for $44B in October 2022.
Currently, Patrick sits on the board of Lightspeed POS Inc as Lead Independent Director and serves as an independent investor, advisor, and board member to many start-ups and innovation networks around the world, including Neo4j (Sweden), Zwift (US/UK), Hopper and Wealthsimple (Canada), and Creative Destruction Labs.
A dedicated environmentalist, Patrick actively supports the Kenauk Project (Kenauk.com and institutkenauk.org).

Katie Rae
CEO & Managing Partner of Engine Ventures.
She serves as a Board Member for The Engine Ventures’ portfolio companies Boston Metal, Commonwealth Fusion Systems, EVOLOH, Form Energy, and Sublime Systems.
Katie has over 10 years of experience as an investor and 25 years as a tech executive helping build Boston into a thriving tech hub. She has invested in nearly 100 companies and advised hundreds of founders from early-stage formation to scale-up. Key investments include Pillpack (acquired by Amazon for $1 billion in 2018), Flywire, Moon, and GrabCAD.
Katie has experience in managing startup accelerators and business-innovation programs — she was a Managing Director of Techstars Boston. She was also a co-founder and Managing Director at Project 11 Ventures.
In addition to her extensive investing career, she has over 20 years of experience in product development, management & operations including holding management positions at Microsoft, Eons, AltaVista, RagingBull, Zip2, and Mirror Worlds.
Katie co-founded the Equity Summit, which convenes leading General Partners and Asset Managers of diversity across the venture capital industry.
