Launch your next big idea with confidence
Regional Talent Engines is a unique 6-month programme designed to help early-stage engineering and technology entrepreneurs, based in Northern England, Northern Ireland and Wales build the foundations for a successful start-up. You’ll receive expert mentoring, practical training, and £20,000 funding to support your progress.

Who is the programme for?
You might be in a job right now or just stepping away from one. Maybe you’ve had an idea for a while but haven’t had the time, resources, or confidence to pursue it.
Regional Talent Engines is designed for engineers and innovators with an early-stage idea.
You don’t need a team, a product, or a business plan, just a promising idea, a problem worth solving, and the motivation to make it happen.
We support:
- new innovations from any area of engineering
- original ideas for scalable businesses
- Engineers and tech innovators who are committed to testing and developing their idea
