FAQs
- Is the spend outlined in the proposal document £45,000 - £60,000 per cohort? - yes per cohort
- As the trainer are we to ensure that there are a range of mentors established to match the mentor with the entrepreneurs in their sectors? If you have mentors, that would be useful for us. Or specialist trainers that the cohort can speak to about particular subjects such as fundraising, sales, etc. But we can also match the cohort with mentors that we have in the Enterprise Hub.
- Should it be assumed that the training provider provides the panel of judges that evaluate the proposals between phase 1 and 2, or will the Academy provide the judges and manage the process of evaluation and selection for phase 2? - We provide all the selection panel members and we manage the selection process
- The proposal request is specific to Northern Ireland, however the summary of the Regional talent programme notes four regions of the UK. Do you anticipate having separate providers developing content and delivering training for each of the regions? - We use a separate provider for the three northern regions for coaching and training
- On page 6 of the request for proposal, it notes that the Academy will cover the costs for venue, refreshments, and meals for in person days. May I confirm that these costs will be estimated by the Academy separately, and shall not be included in the proposal that is noted to have a budget of £45,000-£60,000? - We cover the venue, food, etc. The budget stated is fees for the training provider per cohort

FAQs
- 'Feedback: Participants should be requested to submit feedback on the coaching programme, and the results provided to the Academy for discussion at project review meetings so that any learnings can be implemented.' Is the expectation that the Coaches would carry out formal feedback, or will this be led by the Academy? - We’d want the coaches to do a before and after questionnaire based on that person’s skillset/outlook, and to then present us with the reports so that we can see if the individuals have improved.
- 'Achieve participant satisfaction of >90% with the learning outcomes of the coaching' - With the satisfaction survey, we’ll probably get input from the coach for this but it’s likely we’ll send the survey to the coachees so that they can be honest with their feedback. We can then relay the feedback back to the coaches at the end of the programme.
- Is the coaching the same as mentoring? - No, the Academy or the Training provider will supply the mentors, which will be business-related. Coaching is for personal development.
- Does the coaching have to cover all the competencies listed? No, it will really depend on the coachee - some will want to focus just on one skillset, others will want to discuss a broader range. Their areas of development should be discovered via the initial questionnaire you provide, and in the first session.
- What does 'Additional services and technical assistance' mean? - This just refers to any platforms you use for data collection and the pre- and post- questionnaires, and anything else you can add to enhance the coaching. The scoring criteria gives a max 5 points for this.
