We're delighted to announce that we have been named the Tech Hub of the Year at the Prolific North Tech Awards 2026.
The award recognises the impact of our targeted place based work, such as the early-stage start up programme Regional Talent Engines, which has supported 186 founders across Northern England, Wales and Northern Ireland since 2022. Together, these founders have secured more than £20 million in follow-on funding and created over 200 high-skilled jobs.
Huge credit must also go to our portfolio of founders, mentors, delivery partners and programme teams who are helping turn breakthrough engineering innovations across the region into successful businesses
The evening was topped off by Regional Talent Engines alumnus Jason Crispin winning Tech Founder of the Year. His success is a brilliant example of the engineering talent and entrepreneurial ambition that exists across the North, and of what founders can achieve when they have access to the right support, networks, and opportunities.
