Selection process

The applicant will be asked to complete a short application with the following sections: 

  1. Eligibility 
  2. The Applicant 
  3. The Enterprise 
  4. The Programme 
  5. Declarations 

Applicants will be expected to outline how they would intend to use grant funding to support their deep tech company by embedding the learning of the programme. This may include, but is not limited to, visits for the purpose of relationship building with partners, access to advisory support or consultants and/or pivoting the company’s plans.

Please note travel and subsistence costs for the international mission, induction, and graduation will be covered by the Royal Academy of Engineering. These do not need to be included in the grant justification.  

Applicants are assessed on the quality of their engineering innovation, amongst other factors.

Places on the programme are gained through a competitive application process and are awarded without charge or equity taken.
