How to apply

Selection process

All applications must be submitted via the online grant system. Please read the guidance notes before starting your application, and ensure that you are eligible before applying.

If you have not already done so, all applicants must first register with the system and provide some basic login details to create a profile. Your username or email address will be in the format firstname.lastname.

The application form has four main sections. A summary of the guidance notes is embedded within the system itself. However, the guidance given in the PDF is more detailed, so we recommend you read this first.

Many of the questions have prescribed word limits that are designed to keep your answers focused and to give you an indication of the level of detail we require. In such cases, the number of words you have used will be displayed beneath the question and updated in real time.

You will have the option to download a PDF of your application after submission, which may be useful for future reference and the interview stage.

If you have recently applied and have been unsuccessful, you can reapply after six months, however, you may be asked to provide a brief outline to demonstrate how your application has been strengthened or changed over the last six months.

Join an information session online

We’re holding several online information sessions to support applicants through the application process. The webinar will be hosted by one of our programme managers and offer an overview of the Shott Scale Up Accelerator and the application process. There will be plenty of time for any questions that you may have with regards to the programme or application form.
