Selection process
All applications must be submitted via our online grant system. Please read the guidance notes in full before starting your application and ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria. If you have not already done so, you will need to register and create a profile.
About the application
- Estimated completion time: 2–3 hours
- Structure: Four main sections, with real‐time word counts for many questions.
- Guidance: A summary of the guidance notes is embedded in the form, but we strongly recommend you read the detailed PDF first (available on our website).
- Saving & returning: You may save your work at any stage and return later. You may also wish to compose answers offline and then copy/paste them into the form.
- Submission: Once all sections are complete, a “Submit Application” button will appear at the top of the summary page. After submission, you can still view your application but will no longer be able to edit it.
- PDF copy: You will have the option to download a PDF of your submitted application for future reference or for interview preparation.

Information sessions
We will host several online information sessions throughout the application period. These webinars, led by one of our programme managers, will offer an overview of the Shott Scale Up Accelerator and the application process. You will also have ample time to ask any questions regarding the programme or the application form.

Sensitive and confidential information
In order to assess your application thoroughly, we request limited sensitive information about your company, such as an overview business plan and 12-months P&L. All information is provided in confidence; reviewers are asked to declare any conflicts of interest, have agreed not to share details outside the selection process and delete all information on completion of review.
Reapplying if unsuccessful
If you have applied previously and were not successful, you may reapply after six months. In such cases, you may be asked to outline how your application has been strengthened or changed during that time.
Data Retention
The Academy will retain your personal information in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.
