Greenjets believe that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have a game-changing potential for society across a range of civilian applications (For example, logistics). However, as drones become more widespread and get larger, issues of noise pollution and safety could become key challenges for the industry. Greenjets is developing quiet, safe, zero emission propulsion systems for UAVs.
Arava Anmol Manohar is the CEO of the company, responsible for the overall strategy of the company, fundraising, and culture building. He also oversees key nonengineering functions such as finance, HR, recruitment, and external communications.
Through the Shott Up Accelerator Programme, He is keen to equip himself with the skills needed to navigate the challenges that lie ahead as Greenjets transition from a UK focus to a global presence. He highlights the need to create a global footprint even in the early stages of the company as the demand in the US and Asia is greater than in the UK and Europe. This means building a global network of business development, marketing, sales, and manufacturing facilities.
Anmol recognises that the Shott Start Up Accelerator creates opportunities to meet mentors, coaches, and fellow entrepreneurs. Over the next 12 months he and Greenjets plan to begin sales in the US, EU, and India; complete seed and Series A funding and grow their team to 30+ across the UK, US, and India.
He sees these networking opportunities as a chance to talk to others who have encountered some of these challenges and can help to guide him through these key decisions about international expansion in 2023–2025.
Over the next 12 months of the Shott Scale Up Accelerator, the challenges Greenjets will be looking to overcome are substantial. The learnings in the Shott Scale Up Accelerator will help with this and Anmol is excited to have been selected.
