Desmond is an Investment Manager at Foresight Group, a FTSE-250 listed global investment manager. He sits within the Ventures team, focusing on seed to Series A investments into deep-tech companies with ties to the UK, in areas spanning photonics, semiconductors, AI, advanced engineering and sustainability. Previously, he worked at Cambridge Enterprise Ventures, a pre-seed to Series A venture fund investing from the University of Cambridge’s balance sheet into university affiliated start-ups, and retains a part-time position as a member of the investment committee at Cambridge Enterprises’ Technology Investment Fund, a grant funding body that awards early commercialisation translation funding to research projects.
